Building a school

In July 2012 a group of volunteers started building the Kiburanga School, but it could not be finished due to a lack of resources. Construction recommenced at the beginning of 2013 and, once furnished, it will be finished.

Having a new classroom will mean that children can be taught according to their age and level. Until now the have all been taught together in a small adobe classroom.

Both classrooms will be registered to accommodate all the three preschool grades (“Baby Class”, “Nursery”, and “Pre-Unit”). This will be a big step for the community as the youngest kids will no longer have to walk for several kilometres to get to school.
